One fan will get the full 2023 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding behind-the-scenes experience!

The 2023 Fan Ambassador will get a pair of weekend grandstand tickets, pit & paddock passes, invitation to all pre and post-race ceremonies and the ability to go to all media events and press conferences during race week. The Fan Ambassador will also be encouraged to post their entire experience on social media to show race fans what #FirestoneGP is like behind-the-scenes.

Submissions open are now closed.

Voting for the 2023 Fan Ambassador will begin Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 8 AM ET and conclude Wednesday, Feb. 8 at 8 PM ET.

Winner will be announced after the Track Build event on Thursday, Feb. 9.

Note: Travel and accommodations expenses are not included in this contest.

  • I’m a 50+ year old newbie who despite playing around with old air-cooled VWs much of my life never cared much for car racing. My first IndyCar race was at COTA in 2019 at the invitation of an Indianapolis native friend. And I was hooked instantly! Since then I’ve hit TMS every year (I live in Dallas), RA (so pretty!), Mid-Ohio and two 500s. I play fantasy IndyCar (was 3rd overall at Iowa #1 last year) and now have a small league with friends from all over the country. The 500 is easily the best value of any mega-sporting event on earth and I’ve become an annoying evangelist for IndyCar with my skeptical friends. I’m planning to come to St Pete and it would be an honor to be chosen.

I'm a mechanical engineer so I can share not only the fan experience, but add by sharing in beginner & intermediate level technical understanding.

We are launching our website 2/10/2023 to go along with our already large base in discord, twitter, etc. I will be attending the race and have the pit/paddock passes already but would love to get inside the workings and create content for the masses. My numbers on socials are my own, we have a main account for our group and 4 other members with passion for racing.

  • As a 2023 fan ambassador I can bring a full experience to fans watching from home, making them feel as if they are there! I already have an established relationship with many of the drivers, owners, and media in IndyCar. A lot of them follow me as fans, I like to think of myself as a budding entertainment journalist. I already spend the race weekend posting all my photos/videos to social media where they are being interacted by fans. I never have full access, so having full access to everything this year would make life reporting the race weekend a whole lot easier and way more fun!

  • My dad and I have been IndyCar fans since I was little. We are those crazy people who go to every Indy 500 no matter what and camp all weekend! We equally fell in love with the St. Pete Grand Prix when we moved here in 2020. We have attended both races every year since. We know the track and the drivers. We have such love for the sport!

  • I may not have the largest following but I am a massive motor sports fan. I look deep into the technology and spread what I learn to as many people as I can. I spent my senior year of college studying Motorsport and how it develops consumer technology. Being an ambassador for INDYCAR would allow me to take my passion to a new level
