We did a Twitter chat with NTT IndyCar Series driver Spencer Pigot check it out below and follow us for more @gpstpete #FirestoneGP
First Question! @CarMcFast1 asks @SpencerPigot - “What rookie driver or one-off driver are you most excited to race against?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
Alonso at the 500 is probably the most exciting one. He’s a driver I’ve watched and looked up to for a long time and every time I get a chance to race him is something pretty cool. https://t.co/AT3Unb2X6f

.@MichaelPechar asks @SpencerPigot - “What are yours and your team’s expectations entering the new season? Do you expect to be fighting for wins right away?”

.@DanKincaid asks @SpencerPigot - “What’s your favorite part of the St. Pete track?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
I think the first section, turns 1-3, super heavy break zone in turn 1 and then really quick direction changes back through 2 and 3. Turn 3 is flat out but, its not easy, its bumpy and, you know, there’s lots of stuff going on. https://t.co/2jRUreqCjY

.@CitizenfourDZ asks @SpencerPigot - “Hi Spencer, would you like to see @IndyCar become an international series (outside of Canada and the US)?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
I would. I think that would be a lot of fun to travel different places, racing Indy cars. I think we have such a great product and a great series so the more places we can get to and the more fans we can get in front of the better we can be. https://t.co/dBT1YU3qTL

.@FrederickKann asks @SpencerPigot - “For street circuit racing, do you prefer St. Pete or Long Beach?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
I prefer St. Pete. Its my home race growing up in Orlando so I always have lots of friends and family there which makes it special. But also the track provides better passing opportunities and a little bit more exciting racing as well. https://t.co/1X3VYBunsd

.@cmbunit01 asks @SpencerPigot - “How do you alter your driving throughout a race as tyres fall off and fuel starts to lighten?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
Try to be as easy as you can on the rear tires specifically. Specially with a street course there is lots of big acceleration zones. At St Pete turn 1, turn 8 and the final corner put a lot of stress on the rear tires so try to be as nice as you can on them throughout the stint. https://t.co/h00EXEVE4D

.@Mystikal_Diva asks @SpencerPigot - “What is your favorite track to race on and why?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
Indianapolis is such a special event but the racing itself is so close. You’re always trying to pass someone or someone is not too far behind you. So there's always something going on. High speed ovals provide a lot of great passing opportunities and exciting close racing. https://t.co/zrMJ0WfmrS

Hey Spigot, has your 2nd love of soccer translated at all to the track? Did you learn something from the WPS pitch that you apply on St Pete's tarmac? Go Lakers.
— Chris Carpentier (@CBCarpentier) February 25, 2019
Yeah there was a tall blond defender on my high school soccer team that was extremely aggressive and was always going for every ball so I try to take his determination and aggression onto the race track. - @SpencerPigot https://t.co/ufQOVZK4Zk

#FirestoneGP asks @SpencerPigot - “What music gets you pumped before a big race?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
I don't really listen to music before a race, but probably something from my favorite band blink-182. https://t.co/WTfbbwyo7g

Last Question! #FirestoneGP asks @SpencerPigot - “What is your favorite local @StPeteFL spot to hit up when you are in town?”
— GPSTPETE (@GPSTPETE) February 25, 2019
Bella Brava is for sure my favorite restaurant to go to when I’m in St. Pete. https://t.co/lR2QIz7RQn
