ST. PETERSBURG,  Fla. (November 8, 2016) --Tickets to the 2017 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg are now on sale to the public at The annual racing festival returns to the streets of downtown St. Petersburg for its 13th edition, March 10-12. Organizers announced today that the NEW Champions Club program and benefits offered exclusively to renewal ticket customers has been extended to new ticket purchasers for a limited time. 

From now until Tuesday November 15, customers who purchase three-day grandstand tickets for the 2017 Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will automatically be enrolled as members in the Champions Club at no cost during this introductory period. Members have access to exclusive benefits, including free Paddock Passes, select merchandise discounts at the event, access to the Verizon IndyCar Series pre-race grid walk and an opportunity to sign a commemorative track banner.

"The Champions Club is a great way for us to reward our most loyal customers and those getting a head start on buying their tickets. We are pleased to extend this program to new purchasers, and it's only the beginning, get ready for more exciting announcements race fans."

The Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, one of the biggest event weekends in the Tampa Bay area, will once again serve as the opening race for the Verizon IndyCar Series season for a seventh consecutive year in 2017.  

The Pirelli World Challenge Championship will also open its season on the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg track again this year and the Mazda Road to Indy including Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda will join the on-track lineup.  More announcements about the racing line-up are coming soon!
