COVID-19 Protocols

Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will operate under the City’s “Race to Safe” guidelines for COVID-19 after receiving approval from county and local government officials for limited spectator attendance. With the guidance of public health officials, and local, state and federal authorities, Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg will observe safe social distancing and provide enhanced hygiene and safety precautions for all fans in attendance at the event.

Anyone experiencing symptoms must stay home. According to the CDC, COVID-19 symptoms include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhea.

Anyone who develops symptoms while at the event is advised to leave the event grounds immediately and contact Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg’s COVID-19 Event Safety Plan Managers at 727-269-5195. We ask that all fans please read and adhere to the following procedures below before your arrival at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Please self-monitor for symptoms of COVID-19 and conduct a CDC Coronavirus Self-Checker before your arrival at the track.

Please note masks or facial coverings are REQUIRED to be worn at all times, whether indoors or outside, when at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. “No Mask, No Entry.” Spectators who do not have a mask or facial covering will be issued a mask at the entry gates.

What to Expect at the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg

Protocols are as of March 4, 2021 and are subject to change based on guidance of public health officials and local, state and federal authorities. Please check back often for updates.
Advance Ticket Sales Only
  • A limited number of tickets may be available and released for sale. Spectators must purchase advance tickets online, to reduce contact, time spent at the gate and to ensure entry when limited capacity is enforced. No tickets will be available for purchase at the gate.
  • All tickets purchased will be emailed as Print-At-Home tickets to limit contact for scanning at the gate.
  • Any deferred General Admission or Reserved Grandstand Seat tickets from the 2020 event that you hold from your original purchase last year are not valid. New tickets will be issued electronically. Please also see the FAQ page HERE.
